Sleep plays a big role in fertility and general health. The best time for your body to catch up on repairs?
Well, between 10pm and 2am might be just what you need! The more REM sleep you get the better because this when restorative benefits of sleep is likely the highest. So… try to get to bed early!
@americansocietyforreprodmed study found that women with low-quality slumber had lower rates of fertility than those who got an adequate amount of restful hours. Now we have some ideas as to why this may be the case! Sleep allows our bodies to repair themselves during the wee hours between midnight and 6am.
What can you do today to get the best sleep possible?
⚪️Try to keep your phone in another room and/or avoid looking at your phone before bedtime.
⚪️Turn off any digital devices that emit blue light, such as tablets or laptops, especially ones near your bed.
⚪️Blackout curtains are also a wonderful option for optimal relaxation without sunlight disturbance.
⚪️Eliminate noise as much as possible.
⚪️Playing calm music or white noise is a great way to drift off into a deep slumber.
⚪️Ear plugs are another great way to decrease ambient noise!
Set up your room temperature correctly; it should be cool but not too cold.
Technology now offers many ways to help us track our sleeping patterns so we know what needs improvement to get a more restful night's sleep every day!
One option is a tracking device like Oura Ring which measures everything from breathing rates to REM cycles. This will give users insight into why they aren't feeling refreshed after waking up each morning or if stress played any part during their slumber.
